This conversation can build your child’s awareness of the power of balance and symmetry in their lives. They will see that it is everywhere in their world.

It might be easiest to appear to begin informally – like you suddenly wanted to share how cool the symmetry is in ….. that leaf on the car windshield.

“So much in nature grows symmetrically. Leaves and trees. Lobsters and mice. Antlers and sea shells. You and me.”

Perhaps because it is so important naturally, we also use symmetry often in other parts of our lives.

Start noticing houses with centered doors and symmetrical windows. Landscaping – those symmetrical shrubs. When people hang pictures on their walls. Those things on the mantel. Table settings. Sinks. Cabinets. Curtains.
